Transfer from Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains: 1 hour and 30 minutes to Imlil (1740m), a popular starting point for mountaineering trips. Explore the area by hiking up to the Tizi-n-Mezzik mountain pass (2489m). Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Imlil area and the Azzaden valley. Our cook prepared a field lunch in the middle of a jeneper forest. After lunch, take a stroll down the Azzaden Valley to the summer village of Tamssoult (2250m). Spend the night in a refuge or a camp. Walking for 5 hours.

Today involves a fairly strenuous ascent out of the Azzadene Valley to the Toubkal Refuge via the Ighouliden waterfalls and the 3,560m Aguelzim Mountain pass. Lunch will be served with breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountain Range. Overnight in the Toubkal Refuge, where you'll most likely share a bunk room with other trekkers attempting Toubkal the next morning. 7 hours

Early start for the climb up Toubkal (4,167m), from which you'll have wonderful views of the Atlas Range if the clouds cooperate, then a long way back down past the refuge and the well-worn path back to Imlil. This is a fairly long day, involving 900m up and nearly 2,500m down to Imlil! You will normally be dropped off in Marrakech around 5.00 p.m.
