Overview

Trek in the pristine M'Goun Valley, Ait Bouguemez Valley, a stunning region of the Central High Atlas Mountains. This hike in Bouguemez is available to you; it begins in the Arous Valley and ends at the Ikkis sheepfold. After that, we traverse the Igoudmane Mountains, where we come across the Ait Bougmez Valley nomads, who travel to these lofty peaks in the summer with their herds of sheep and goats. Lastly, the journey down to Ait Bouguemez to see up close the customs and adobe-built villages' architecture.We explore the breathtaking Happy Valley, a wide green valley situated between two mountain ranges rising above three thousand meters, during our four-day trip through the Central High Atlas.

Tour Plan

Day 1: Marrakech − Azilal City − Arouss Valley − Ikkis N’Arous pasture

Car transfer from Marrakech in the early morning following breakfast. We reach Azilal City, the mountain gate, after two hours of travel. We next travel through the stunning, narrow valley of Ait Abbas in Central High Atlas along a rocky route. arrival at the location where our mule crew will assemble. Lunch beneath the walnut trees' shade. It takes about three hours to hike to our camp at Ikkis pasture. Spend the night in a tent. a five-hour drive. three-hour walk.

Day 2: Azib Ikkis Pasture − Igoudamen Mountains − Ait Bougmez valley − Ait Imi Village

Following breakfast, we begin with a pleasant climb up to the sheepfold of Arous. From there, we continue on to the pastures of various Berber communities in the center High Atlas mountains, where we meet the Berbers and their herds and get a broad overview of the lush Ait Bougmez valley. The water source at Aguerd N'ouzrou is then reached by a steep road; the water is directed into an irrigation system that is concreted to prevent losses due to infiltration. A few hundred meters away, crops are irrigated by the water. After a six-hour walk, we camp out the night close to Ait Imi hamlet.

Day 3: Ait Imi − Adazen Mountain − Sidi Moussa Collective Attic − Timit village

We visit the dinosaur traces close to Ibakllioune village as we continue our hike. Subsequently, we ascend approximately 400 meters in a juniper woodland to the Adazen Mountain Ridge. We have a broad view of the surrounding Central High Atlas mountains, including Azourki and Igoudamen, from our spot on the bank. down to the village of Ait Ouangdal. Lunch beneath the walnut trees. We stroll beside the river between the gardens to observe Aït Bougmez's history, architecture, and culture. Next, we ascend to the ancient shrine and walled granary of Sidi Moussa, situated on a pyramid-shaped peak that provides an amazing vista over Happy Valley's three directions. Spend the night at a classic guesthouse. five-hour stroll.

Day 4: Ait Bouguemez Valley – Azilal City – Ouzoud waterfalls – Marrakech

We meet our driver and head to Azilal after breakfast. After that, we go to the 110-meter-tall Ouzoud waterfalls. After that, it will take us roughly two hours to get to Marrakech by car. Trailhead for the Central High Atlas.
