Following breakfast, we begin with a pleasant climb up to the sheepfold of Arous. From there, we continue on to the pastures of various Berber communities in the center High Atlas mountains, where we meet the Berbers and their herds and get a broad overview of the lush Ait Bougmez valley. The water source at Aguerd N'ouzrou is then reached by a steep road; the water is directed into an irrigation system that is concreted to prevent losses due to infiltration. A few hundred meters away, crops are irrigated by the water. After a six-hour walk, we camp out the night close to Ait Imi hamlet.

We visit the dinosaur traces close to Ibakllioune village as we continue our hike. Subsequently, we ascend approximately 400 meters in a juniper woodland to the Adazen Mountain Ridge.
